Announcement: New Direction For A Quilted Story Designs

Dear friend,

It is with great excitement that I am finally announcing a new direction for A Quilted Story Designs. I am a woman of many talents, not just quilting, and have an equal passion for yarn and many other crafts. You, my cherished reader, have been missing out. I should be sharing all the talents God has given me... not just quilting. In that vein, our family has decided to expand into Liberty Oaks. With the expansion comes new directions for the brand. goat's milk soap? yep. Luxurious mohair? yep. Videos of goats and chickens and homesteading tutorials may all be included at some point. And we have to start somewhere... with brand changes, a few new products, and some reorganization.

Angora goat
Daisy, one of our Angora Goats posing for the camera. Angora goats produce mohair, one of the softest fibers I've ever felt.

Be assured... I'll still be adding to my pattern library, which may include some knitting and crochet patterns soon. I'll still be publishing books. The Hope Quilt: 15 Devotions About Hope is set to be released this fall. (It's on a bit of a delay due to all these changes, but progress is being made). I hope to publish a pattern collection book next year as well.

Devotional thoughts will be coming back. I've missed sharing my faith with all of you! They will take on a broader view as we explore our faith through all the experiences of life. New, informational blog posts will be added as well if you are interested in quilting, knitting, crocheting, spinning, soapmaking, and many other activities we do on the homestead.

What's new? I am starting a line of goat's milk soap and goat's milk laundry soap. It's fabulous and I highly recommend using it for everything... including quilts. Our new Angora goats produce some of the softest mohair fiber I have ever worked with and there will be handspun yarn available as well. My husband has been inspired to offer some oak coasters from some of the fallen live oak trees around our property.

bars of soap
Goat's milk soap is wonderful for cleaning. I found that when added to laundry it is a great stain buster too. I've used it on some of my dirtiest quilts and it works great!

From locks right off the goat to roving to mohair yarn.

I've decided to streamline your shopping experience as well. You can find all of our items available on our Etsy shop. Instagram will be our main source of updates (for now, although we might expand into YouTube in the future.)

The future is bright for Liberty Oaks. There will be more changes in the future and we look forward to walking along this journey with you.
